the helladays

Happy almost whatever winter holiday..

I really dislike the whole holiday hell that follows thanksgiving Halloween.
I have since I was about 10. Mostly its all the people who normally durring the year when out shopping can be rude but it seems to increase 10x in the winter. Not a fan.
Plus it is almost impossible to avoid christmas music in stores.
I saved myself some shopping pain, and did 99% of my shopping on amazon (with prime).

This year I have also been graced with a magical chest/sinus cold. It's special.
I have cement in my nose and gunk in my chest. A lovely raspy voice and interesting colored mucus.
Yes, I am just bursting at the seams with holiday cheer.

The fun part about being sick in my opinion is the NyQuil. Sure it tastes repulsive, but that shit works.
I also like how if you don't go to bed right away, you get more and more loopy. I call this the NyQuil otter; The smaller cuter version of the Ambien Walrus.

For those of you who might not know about the Ambien Walrus, I will give some anecdotal evidence of this mythical creature:
From what I gather from friends, if you happen to take ambien and then not go to sleep, you basically just roofied yourself, and the magic mythical ambien walrus appears and convinces you to do things, that probably aren't the best idea.

My friend Kristen Accidentally did this very thing at burning man when she took Ambien when she thought it was headache meds. To be fair it is really dark at night and if you are digging around in a bag with out much light it is an easy mistake.
Apparently she was 2 miles away from her camp. she some how walked to someone's camp that she thought was hers. but she wears a necklace that indicates where she is suppose to live. The people were nice enough to take her back home and leave her safely on a couch.

If you want more stories of the Ambien Walrus, just do a Google search of: Ambien no sleep hallucinations

Speaking of mythical creatures and the winter holidays; Can I just say how awesome the Krampus is?

Be sure to drink your ovaltine!
