style flashback: 80's tv edition

Today I was browsing modcloth and I had a clothing flashback

This dress for some reason triggered some dark part in my brain, and I couldn't think what this reminded me of..

Then I had the feeling it reminded me of one of my favorite reasons to be at home sick from school:

But then I thought about it, the golden girls had way better style.

Maybe it kind of reminds me of Estelle Getty's charter Sophia, but not enough.

Then Brilliance struck:

Yeah Mama's Family..

It makes sense that I would think GG; Betty White and Rue McClanahan were both on the show.

But that dress is all Vicky Lawrence's character, all the way down to the lace cuffs.
