Skirts, boots, dresses.. and Pasta?

The clothes from my previous post The Naughty List arrived.
I have been wearing the blue skirt at least once a week. okay i'll be honest, I wear it to work once a week, but then I wear it at home way more often.
Its blissfully soft, blue and has an odd hem. In short almost perfect. There is an odd bit on the trim that sits funny, but I am willing to ignore it.

I also splurged and purchased what I really wanted for the holidays, I might have posted about it before..

I was notably crushed when this dress/pinafore was no longer on the site. I was kicking myself for not buying it, but I was seriously broke.
Then a belated surprise for my new year, I was longingly looking on the clearance section  of ASOS and low and behold, there was the dress! and in a 22 (ASOS sizing means it fits larger). I ordered that bitch fast as I could. It arrived and much like the skirt, I wear it as often as I can get away with.
It isn't stiff denim like I thought it looked like. instead it is very soft, almost cuddly. insanely comfortable. This dress will literally fall apart from wear in about 10-15 years, I have no doubt. I will feel its price of $48 will be worth every penny.

second surprise, was after years of searching, I finally found a replacement pair of leather report boots!
I am so thrilled to have found these boots. My original pair have been in poor shape, from almost constant wear for about 4 years.
Persistence pays off when looking on ebay.

Speaking of pennies.. Despite how much money I look like I spend on clothing, I am really thrifty. I budget, I clip coupons, I shop around for bargains.
This also applies to when I shop for groceries.
So when I dropped over $20 to purchase: sausage, pasta and cheese; and not even at a fancy place. I get very annoyed.
All I wanted to do was make pasta for dinner.

Wanting to make rigatoni with a homemade tomato sausage sauce covered in mozzarella, should not break the price point of eating out!
I rarely spend more than $20 to make a full meal with cocktails or wine.

I had a whole rant planned for the price of food vs eating out, but at this point in my day all I want to do is go to sleep..

Next post will involve photos of my new overall dress, and the kick ass bag I purchased..

xoxo
